It's important to note that according to Aaron Sams and Jonathan Bergmann, the authors of Flipping Your Classroom: Reach Every Student in Every Class Every Day Every Time, with a flipped classroom "there is no specific methodology to be replicated, no checklist to follow that leads to guaranteed results. Flipping the classroom is more about a mindset: redirecting attention away from the teacher and putting attention on the learner and the learning."

Flipping doesn't mean every objective is taught outside of the class period, and it doesn't mean that students must be taught through videos. Flipped teaching is simply re-focusing the class period.
